Happy Birthday My Dear Friend

Since I first met you, you've grown so much.
I'm grateful God put me in your life to touch.
Your heart, and your mind. Your spirit and soul.
I'm overwhelmed He saw fit, to bless me with this role.
While I have know you, my life has evolved.
There are so many things around which it revolved.
But now I stand focused, my priorities set.
My joy of what's been, and of what's to come yet.
While I worked to fix you Christ was fixing me.
Molding me into such the man I should be.
So that by the time I complete you I'll be wise.
We both will be beautiful and ready in His eyes.
I think at times I attack your demons with to much force.
I wonder if I should have taken a softer, slower course.
But the enemy is powerful and cunning beyond belief.
Swift and Godly rebuttal, is the only chance of relief.
When I look back to when we simply spoke.
About fun, and I had no clue that you were broke.
I still saw your pain peeking out, shy, timid, and meak.
At once I decided, I would be strong for you when you're weak.
I look at you now, so strong and courageous.
I'm so glad to know, real love is contagious.
I listens, it cares. And It's always aware.
Of how else of itself it can give up and share.

God saw fit to gift your family in this way.
By forming and molding you His lovely craft and design.
Now in His perfect plan He's let your path cross mine.
I'm grateful He's bestowed such a privilege on me.
As to watch you grow more as He'd like you to be.
And though I go afar, for now this is only how it will start.
I pray, and I know, I will hug you again, tight, and close to my heart.
Now when you read this all over again know I mean every carefully placed word.
And there's much more where they came from, that you've yet to have heard.
Its my request to God I see you again, so much sooner rather than much later.
But until that time comes, and even after it does I'll keep you in daily prayer.
Praise our God from who all blessings spring.
Let all creatures below know He's all powerful King.
Praise Him in heaven all the angels above.
Praise to the Trinity and His almighty love.
